Austrian-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Samson Baidoo, has earned a spot in WhoScored.com’s French Ligue 1 Team of the Week for Matchday 11 following a stellar outing for RC Lens.
Baidoo impressed in Lens’ 3-0 home win over FC Lorient on Sunday.
He capped it off with a goal in the 89th minute that sealed the result.
His all-round display earned him an impressive 8.22 rating, placing him among the best performers of the week in the French top flight.
He has been a consistent force at the back since the start of the 2025/26 season, combining defensive solidity with attacking contributions.
So far, he has registered two goals and two assists in 10 appearances, quickly establishing himself as one of Ligue 1’s rising stars.
