Sadat Karim joins Apollon Smyrnis in Greek second tier

Greek second-tier side Apollon Smyrnis FC, on Saturday, January 14, announced the signing of Ghana striker Sadat Karim.

The 31-year-old joins on a free-agent deal after ending an almost decade-long stay in Sweden a few days ago.

Sadat scored 70 goals and provided 29 assists in 227 outings in all competitions while playing for four clubs – BW 90 IF, Landskrona BoiS, Prespa Birlik and Halmstads BK – in the Scandinavian country.

Apollon Smyrnis are currently in third position in Group B of the 2022/23 Greek Super League 2 standings. They face bottom-placed PAO Rouf away on Sunday, January 15. Sadat has been included in the travelling squad
