English-born Ghanaian youngster Ryan McAidoo enjoyed a dream start to life at Manchester City after scoring on his debut in a 10-1 demolition of Exeter City in the FA Cup.

City briefly faced resistance when Oakes caused an early scare, but Pep Guardiola’s side quickly took full control of the contest.

Defender Alleyne opened his City account on just his second appearance, before Rodri’s powerful long-range effort effectively killed off any Exeter belief.

The League One side struggled to cope defensively, with captain Doyle-Hayes unfortunate to see the ball deflect off him into his own net.

Exeter’s misery deepened when Fitzwater diverted Reijnders’ low cross past his own goalkeeper.

McAidoo, deployed on the opposite flank to Antoine Semenyo, caught the eye throughout with his movement and confidence.

The winger capped his impressive showing with a composed finish into the bottom corner late in the game.

Manchester City signed the 16-year-old from Chelsea during the 2024 summer and remains eligible to play for Ghana in the future, having featured at the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup.
