Liverpool are currently being held to a 0-0 draw by European specialist Unai Emery and his Villareal side at Anfield.
The Reds have had the vast majority of the ball, but haven’t created enough against a stubborn La Liga side who have already managed to knock out Juventus and Bayern Munich on their route to this stage.
And, with a trip to Spain to come in six days time, it feels as though Klopp’s side need to take a lead into the return leg.
Diaz praised by Liverpool faithful
But, in what was ultimately a frustrating first half for Jurgen Klopp’s side, the Liverpool faithful singled out one man for praise for a stellar performance. The player in question? January addition Luis Diaz.
The Colombian looked a livewire, and managed two shots on target in the first half alone, more than any other player. And the Liverpool fans were quick to show their appreciation.
Luis Diaz has been a god send to this team

Feels like Luis Diaz is playing this game very well. Take your shots from range, make Villarreal come out to meet you next time and the holes will open up.

How on earth have Liverpool paid the same money for Luis Diaz as we did for Amad Diallo??
Diaz looks absolutely electric again #UCL #LIVVIL
