Argentine Primera División club Rosario Central has named former Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez as their new manager.
The Argentine hanged his boots earlier in the month after stating that he wanted to be close with his family; the former striker coming in to replace Kily González who was sacked in March.
Tevez has been handed a one-year deal and will be assisted by Carlos Retegui, a former Argentine international field hockey player and coach.

After finishing 16th in 2021, Central have had a difficult start to the new campaign and currently sits 22nd in the table having won just one of their first four matches.
Tevez who previously featured for Boca Juniors was in attendance to watch his new charges lose 2-0 to Vélez Sársfield on Monday, and now he will be hoping to inspire a quick change in fortunes.
