Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo joined an exalted company on Saturday as he became the latest member of the Premier League’s 100 goals club.
The Portuguese scored United’s only goal as they went down 3-1 against Arsenal, but it was monumental and even more sentimental as it came days after he announced the death of his newborn baby.
Ronaldo becomes the 32nd player to reach triple figures in the Premier League since its inception in 1992.
There are, however, six active players in the league who have clocked a century of goals.
Active players with over 100 Premier League goals
- Cristiano Ronaldo – 100 goals
- Raheem Sterling – 106 goals
- Sadio Mane – 109 goals
- Romelu Lukaku – 118 goals
- Mohamed Salah – 119 goals
- Jamie Verdy – 128 goals
- Harry Kane – 178 goals
