Richmond Lamptey, Baba Hamadu make Laryea Kingston team of the week

Bofoakwa Tano shot stopper Emanuel Kobi, Asante Kotoko midfielder Richmond Lamptey and FC Samartex Baba Hamadu earned a spot in the Laryea Kingston team of the week for Matchday 16 of the Ghana Premier League.

The trio played  pivotal roles for their clubs in their games over the weekend. Kobi put up a scintillating performance for Bofoakwa Tano in their goalless draw at the Golden City Park against Berekum Chelsea.

Richmond Lamptey missed a fabulous chance to get on the score sheet for Asante Kotoko in the first half, but his performance on the day was majestic in their 1-0 win over Real Tamale United at the Baba Yara Sports stadium, while, Baba Hamadu scored for FC Samartex in a 3-0 win against Karela United FC at Nana Nsenkyire Park at Sameraboi.

Other key performers over the weekend include, Stephen Diyou of Nsoatreman FC, Accra Lions’ Abass Samari Salifu, Samuel Tenedu, Legon Cities and Francis Acquah of Bechem United.

Laryea Kingston is a former Ghanaian international who won 41 caps and scored 6 goals in a career that spanned 14-years.
