Real Madrid handed Eden Hazard boost ahead of Man City clash

Real Madrid handed personnel boost ahead of Man City clash

Spanish giants Real Madrid have been afforded a boost on the personnel boost, ahead of the club’s upcoming showdown with Manchester City.

Los Blancos are of course primed to kick their European campaign back into gear in a little over a week’s time, when they make the trip to the Etihad for a tantalising Champions League semi-final first-leg clash with the aforementioned City.

Boss Carlo Ancelotti, in turn, will no doubt be hopeful of having as many members of his first-team squad as possible fit and available to feature.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media on Monday evening is anything to go by, then Real’s options, off the bench at least, look set to be afforded an imminent boost.

As per a report from Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, Eden Hazard, on the back of a spell on the sidelines, has returned to training alongside the rest of Ancelotti’s first-team squad.

In turn, though the Belgian is viewed as unlikely to feature against Osasuna this weekend, he is understood to be hopeful of being at the disposal of Los Merengues in Manchester next Tuesday night.

Benz to the rescue

The latest word on Hazard’s wellbeing of course comes with the former Chelsea man having missed out on yet another remarkable Real Madrid comeback victory on Sunday night.

After falling into a two-goal hole early in a La Liga meeting with Sevilla, the capital giants ran riot over the course of the 2nd-half, finding the net on a trio of occasions to eventually emerge on the right side of a 3-2 result.

Owing to Barcelona’s shock defeat at the hands of Cadiz this evening, Ancelotti and co, in turn, sit a full 15 points clear atop the Spanish top-flight, with just six games to play.
