Laliga giants Real Madrid have agreed on a deal to sign AS Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
RMC Sports reports that the Carlo Ancelotti-coached side will part away with €80m for the French midfielder with the player set to sign a five-year deal with the European giants.
Tchouameni is seen as a long-term replacement for Brazilian Casemiro who has been a good servant for the club; the arrival of the youngster set to ease the burden on Casemiro who has been an important cog in Madrid’s midfield.
Tchouameni has eight caps for the French national team – he’s scored one goal – and is expected to start alongside Paul Pogba for Les Bleus at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

The 22-year-old joined Monaco from Bordeaux in the summer of 2020 and has since made 95 first-team appearances for the southern French outfit, contributing eight goals and seven assists.
The move for the player is seen as a response by Madrid after missing the services of striker Kylian Mbappe who extended his stay with PSG.
