Goalkeeper Razak Abalora kept a clean sheet to help Sheriff Tiraspol beat Maribor 1-0 on Tuesday evening.
It was his fourth consecutive games without conceding a goal for the Moldovan side which propels them to the next stage of the qualifiers.
FC Sheriff will play against Czech Republic side Victoria Plzen in the next round for a chance to be in the group stages of the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League in the playoffs.
Abalora joined Sheriff from Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko on a free transfer in January.
