Patrick Amoako Sefa, father of the late footballer Raphael Dwamena, has made a urgent appeal to the Ghana Football Association for assistance in repatriating his son’s remains to Ghana.
The former Black Stars forward tragically passed away during an Albanian Superliga match between KF Egnatia and KF Partizani on November 11th.
Dwamena’s family, facing challenges due to the absence of a Ghana Embassy in Albania, seeks support from the Ghana Football Association.
Expressing the family’s grief and the difficulty in hearing the news, Sefa requests prayers from Ghanaians as they navigate the process of bringing Dwamena’s body back to Ghana.
“When we heard the news it wasn’t easy the whole family was very sad and crying but by God’s grace we are still holding our faith,” he said.
“We have spoken to his wife and when we spoke she said there is no Ghana Embassy in Albania so they are making preparations to look for a flight to Turkey before we can bring the body.
“So now it has turn to help and it will keep long I am appealing to Ghana Football Association to help the family we wish to bring the body to Ghana and look at how we will all plan. What I will say is that Ghanaians should pray for us,”
