Former Black Satellites striker Ranford Osei claims he is a more clinical finisher than Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan who has 51 goals for the Black Stars.
Osei featured 16 times for the country’s youth national teams and scored 10 goals.
“During my time, there was no one better,” said Osei in an interview with Frank Agyam on Pipapipa Media.
“Asamoah Gyan was a fantastic player, but he wasn’t as clinical as me. I could have scored more goals than him, but he had more opportunities than me.”
Osei also cited the presence of Gyan as a factor in his limited opportunities at the international level. “Even at Angola,” he explained, “I couldn’t get the chance because Asamoah Gyan was there and he was the most experienced player.”
