Ralf Rangnick has offered a brutal assessment of Manchester United’s current squad for incoming boss, Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag was of course named Manchester United manager earlier this week and is set to take charge of the Red Devils at the end of the current campaign.
As was further evidenced by United’s lack lustre showing on Saturday vs Arsenal, Ten Hag had quite the job on his hands going forward.
And now, Ralf Rangnick has offered some insight into the kind of issues the Dutchman will have to deal with.
As reported by the Mirror, after talks with Director of Football John Murtough and CEO Richard Arnold, Ralf Rangnick has been asked to hand Ten Hag a brutal ‘no holes barred’ rundown on the players the Dutchman will inherit this summer.
It is added that Rangnick responded by telling said duo that he won’t hold back after believing he’s been let down and hung out to dry by a dressing room he’s privately branded ‘selfish, over-inflated, lacking quality and too powerful’.

Manchester United clear-out
It is further claimed that Ralf Rangnick has been left staggered by the lack of professionalism in the Manchester United squad.
This begs the question, how many players from the current squad will still be at Old Trafford come the start of next season.
Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Bruno Fernandes are likely to stay given their obvious quality – even if they do not show it for United on a regular basis.
But apart from that trio, it is hard to see any Manchester United player’s future being safe come the open of the transfer window.
The Red Devils are also of course set to lose a number of players for free when their contracts expire at the end of June.
