Sitting Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick has come out and urged incoming headmaster Erik ten Hag to “tell the board which players he wants to work” when it comes to the way the Dutchman intends to undertake the squad overall at Old Trafford beginning in the summer.
It is all but guaranteed that United will bring in at least three signings to bolster the first-team and upgrade across certain positions once Ten Hag officially arrives in Manchester after the current season, with a swath of names linked with Red Devils’ interest, which looks could include a pair of modern strikers.

In his recent comments, Rangnick felt that the club is lacking in that department and should target a duo of attacking players that would give the United team more quality than their current iteration, which can be linked back to the notion that the German wanted both Dušan Vlahović and Luis Díaz during the January transfer window.
Rangnick lifted the veil and admitted that the United board had vetoed a move for a forward during the season mid-point, claiming that “there is no player available that could help us” despite his insistence that it was of the utmost importance to address that area of the park.
Ten Hag may be prepared to raid his current AFC Ajax side once he arrives at the Theatre of Dreams, however, with the likes of star trio Jurriën Timber, Antony, and Lisandro Martínez fitting the bill for United to secure upgrades at right-back, center-back, and in the forward line.
While the list of names linked with a possible move to United this summer is sure to increase, Ten Hag could well heed the advice of Rangnick if he is to enable the opportunity to hit the ground running in the much-needed rebuilding project in the red half of Manchester this summer.
