Former Accra Lions coach, Rainer Kraft has praised the current players and coaching staff for securing another season in the Ghana Premier League.
The Lions had a turbulent start to life in the topflight under his tutelage with two wins and three defeats in their first six matches.
With the departure of the German and subsequent appointment of former Black Stars player, Ibrahim Tanko as technical director/Coach, the team seemingly revitalized and pushed for improved results.
They ended the campaign with one defeat from seven matches – three wins and three draws, which guaranteed their survival.
“To my former players, my former coaching staff, my former team behind the team, I am incredibly proud of how you developed in the last months, proud of which performance you showed to follow up our common success from last season.” The 59-year-old gaffer wrote on Facebook.
“Special regards to Coach James Francis,I recommended you as my follow up and you fulfilled the trust I had in you!.
