Attacker Mohammed Kudus was at the double to help Ghana beat South Korea 3-2 in their second match at the ongoing World Cup.
A match where a loss would have seen the Black Stars eliminated from the global tournament, Kudus prevented that with a well-taken goal.
The Asians started the match on a brighter note and caused the defensive line of Ghana all sort of problems, but the West African side slowly grew into the game and took the lead.
Jordan Ayew’s pin-point cross into the 18-yard box from a free-kick was pounced and slotted into the net by Salisu Mohammed.
Ayew was at it again with a brilliant cross and Mohammed Kudus was there to provide a glancing header.
As the Black Stars enjoyed their comfortable lead, South Korea responded in a dramatic fashion, scoring two goals in three minutes through Cho Gue-Sung to level the scoreline.
However, Kudus ensured that the Black Stars will go home with all three points with a fine curler into the bottom corner.
Ghana sit second in Group H with three points as group leaders Portugal take on Uruguay later on Monday.
