French giants Paris Saint Germain have pulled out of the race to sign Ousmane Dembele.
The French winger will be a free agent at the end of the month after failing to sign a new deal with FC Barcelona despite the club’s attempts to keep him at Camp Nou.
SPORT reports that former PSG director Leonardo was keen on acquiring the services of the winger but since he was relieved of his duties last month, the deal has been in limbo. The Brazilian is set to be replaced by Luis Campos who does not wish to sign Dembele and instead wants to use the funds to strengthen the squad in midfield.
Latest reports indicate that Dembele is keen on a reunion with his former Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea. The Blues’ sanctions will be lifted after their takeover was completed and the new owners are ready to back the manager to the hilt in the summer.
Chelsea has tabled a lucrative four-year proposal to Dembele with a signing-on bonus that could tempt him into moving to Stamford Bridge.
There are claims that Dembele is keen on staying at Barca but the wages he is being offered aren’t something that he would like to sign to.
