Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain side is on the brink of reclaiming the Ligue 1 crown after they eased past Angers on Wednesday night.
The Parisians could have been announced champions on the night, but Marseille’s 3-2 comeback win means they are not, mathematically, out of the title race.
They can get the job done though if they beat Lens on Saturday at the Parc des Princes.
Against Angers, Kylian Mbappe gave his side the lead in the 28th minute in what was his 27th goal of the season.
The youngster was accorded space and time to drill a low shot from just outside the area beyond a helpless Anthony Mandrea.
They then doubled their lead just before half-time as Sergio Ramos headed home an Angel di Maria corner to give them a comfortable lead.
PSG then sealed the win 15 minutes from time as Marquinhos powerfully headed home another Di Maria cross.
This will be a historic 10th title for PSG, who lost the crown to Lille by a single point last season.
The Les Dogues have had a season to forget and currently lie ninth on the table with their title defense practically over.
