Premier League sides have been sent a warning over Manchester City new boy, Erling Haaland.
Haaland signed for Man City from Borussia Dortmund last month and is expected to set the Premier League alight in 2022/23.
City met the £51m release clause in Haaland’s contract and he will join Kevin De Bruyne as the club’s highest-paid player on around £400,000 a week.
The hitman managed close to a goal a game for BVB, making him one of the most prolific strikers in Europe’s top leagues.
Haaland was also amongst the goals over the weekend, netting twice as his Norway side beat Sweden 2-1 in a UEFA Nations League game. He has now scored 18 in 19 for his country in all competitions.
Following on from that game, Haaland revealed what Sweden centre-back Alexander Milosevic said to him during the match: “First he called me a wh*re. I can safely say that I am not. Secondly, he said he was going to break my legs, a minute-and-a-half later I scored. That was fine, that.”
Norway team-mate Leo Skiri Ostigard added on the alleged interaction between combative defender and hot-shot striker: “That’s the dumbest thing to do. “To fire up Erling – I’ve tried to do it in training, and I’ll never do it again. It’s something he likes, and then it slams fast behind you.”
So, it appears that Premier League defenders would be better served not annoying Haaland when they face him next term.
