Harry Maguire has been on the receiving end of a bomb scare at his house in Cheshire on Thursday morning, with the police being called.
Sniffer dogs and a bomb squad were sent to the England and Manchester United defender’s family home, where he lives with his family, and swept the house, though they found nothing.
The threat comes just days after Maguire was singled out for severe criticism for his performance in the Red Devils 4-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, with former Manchester United skipper Roy Keane criticising his performance in the Skysports studio after the hammering.
As per @CharlieWyett, Cheshire Police have conducted a sweep of Harry Maguire’s house after the Manchester United and England star received a bomb threat.

It is believed that the threat, which Maguire understandably took seriously, was sent via email.
A spokesperson for the Manchester United captain said:
‘In the last 24 hours, Harry has received a serious threat to his family home’.
‘He has reported this to the police who are now looking into the matter. The safety of his family and those around him is obviously Harry’s number one priority’.
‘He will continue to prepare for this weekend’s fixture as normal and we will not be commenting in any further detail at this time.’
Focus back on football
Maguire has a quick turnaround following the scare, with Manchester United travelling to London on Friday to take on Arsenal in the Saturday lunchtime kickoff at the Emirates Stadium.
The defender will be a key player for Ralf Rangnick, with the availability of Cristiano Ronaldo still unknown following his own personal bereavment.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba, Fred, Luke Shaw, Edinson Cavani and Raphael Varane all remain sidelined through various injuries.
Understandably, Maguire’s thoughts may be off the pitch.
