Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil has hailed his connection with new Los Angeles Galaxy FC teammate Ruiqui Puiq, describing it as a great connection.
Paintsil and the former Barcelona youngster have played together for just three games so far after the Ghanaian’s switch to the Major League Soccer in the winter transfer window.
The former Genk talisman has now scored a goal and provided an assist in his first three games for LA Galaxy, netting a golazo against San Jose Earthquakes.
He also won a penalty on his debut against Inter Miami which Riqui Puiq missed.
Speaking to the LA Galaxy website, Joseph Paintsil said it is like he has been playing alongside Puig for a season.
“Me playing alongside Riqui Puig is a great connection,” Paintsil said. “As you can see, it’s like we’ve played [together] almost like a season before.”
Joseph Paintsil could be named in the Ghana squad for this month’s friendlies against Uganda and Nigeria in Morocco.
