The National Sports Authority (NSA) has procured specialized pitch covers to ensure the protection and long-term upkeep of playing surfaces at national stadiums when they are used for non-sporting activities.
According to the NSA, the assistance will strengthen stadium management practices and significantly prolong the durability of playing pitches.
With the equipment already on site, plans are underway to roll out the pitch covers at other selected national stadiums in the near future.
The Authority added that the new system will lower routine maintenance requirements while improving overall readiness of venues for major sporting competitions and large-scale events.
