Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has revealed Paul Pogba picked a calf muscle injury in the 4-0 loss away at Liverpool on Tuesday night.
The midfielder limped off after only 10 minutes and headed straight down the tunnel holding his right leg, and was replaced by Jesse Lingard.
Speaking to MUTV in his post-match press conference, Rangnick revealed the extent of the Frenchman’s latest injury.
“He pulled his calf muscle and, as it seems right now, this will not be an injury like the one Fred has which will be gone in one week.
“I fear he will not be available for Arsenal or Chelsea.”
Pogba is the latest player to pick an injury, joining the growing list that has the likes of Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Fred, and Edinson Cavani.
The 29-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of this season, has endured an injury-filled season, which has limited his participation in recent months.
United’s loss on Tuesday heavily dented their hopes of playing Champions League football next season as they sit sixth on the log on 54 points.
