Paintsil looks set to start for Fulham against Atletico Madrid in Hamburg on Wednesday and is delighted with the prospect of playing in an European cup final.
He is also thrilled that his international teammate Sulley Muntari could be involved in the Champions League final on May 22 when Inter Milan play Bayern Munich in Madrid.
“It is great for Ghana football that myself and Sulley are involved in the European finals. It speaks well of Ghana football and I hope both of us can celebrate glory after our various games,” he told KickOffGhana.com.
Paintsil’s season had threatened to collapse after he injured his knee against Chelsea in December that kept him out for four months but he has returned to make the right-back spot his own.
