Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil put up a man-of-the-match performance as he inspired performance in KRC Genk’s 5-2 victory over rivals RSC Anderlecht in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League on Sunday.
The 25-year-old grabbed a goal and set up another one to help the league leaders claim an emphatic victory over Anderlecht at the Cegeka Arena in a round 33 fixture.
Tanzania captain Mbwana Samatta opened the scoring of the match in the 36th minute, but Algeria forward Islam Slimane drew the visitors level moments later.
Paintsil then took the game by the scruff of the neck scoring two goals on either side of his assist for Morocco international Bilal El Khannous.
The former Tema Youth player has been in superb form for Genk this season having scored 14 goals and providing 10 assists in 29 matches.
