Kelvin Ofori has recently shown signs of improvement following a disappointing debut season at SC Paderborn. The 20-year-old Ghanaian looked impressive in the friendlies, and he was at least a candidate for the 20-man squad again.
But, after injuring his knee in training, Ofori was forced to miss the season opener against Karlsruher SC. The precise diagnosis was revealed by an MRI scan.
The offensive player’s knee had an inner ligament tear. Ofori will be out for six to eight weeks.
On 11 August 2021, Ofori signed a two-year contract with SC Paderborn 07 of the 2. Bundesliga. Four days later, on 15 August, he made his league debut for the club by coming on as a substitute in a 4–1 win at Werder Bremen.
Ofori first played for the Right to Dream Academy from 2011 to 2019.
