Asante Kotoko have appointed Prince Yaw Owusu as interim head coach following Karim Zito’s resignation.
Owusu, a seasoned tactician with over 20 years of experience, will be assisted by Mohammed Hamza Obeng.
The duo is expected to lead the team until a substantive head coach is appointed.
Owusu’s appointment comes as Kotoko looks to turn their season around, currently sitting in a challenging position.
His experience in Ghana, Sudan, and the US, including stints at Medeama SC and Inter Allies, makes him a suitable choice.
He’s also known for developing young talent, with players moving to top European clubs like AC Milan and Fiorentina.
Hamza Obeng, the new assistant coach, brings a strong background in youth development and has worked with notable coaches like Samuel Boadu at Hearts of Oak.
The pair will face their first challenge against Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.
