Despite a dominant 4-1 win over Legon Cities on Monday, Nations FC head coach Kasim Ocansey Mingle says he was left unsatisfied with his team’s performance in their Ghana Premier League matchday 31 clash.
The victory, powered by a brace from Kelvin Ampoful and goals from Emmanuel Annor and Sadiq Alhassan, helped the Abrankese-based side reclaim top spot on the league table with 57 points.
The result also sealed Legon Cities’ relegation to the Division One League, as they remain stuck in 17th place with 25 points from 31 matches.
However, the Nations FC coach believes his side should have done more on the day.
“Our performance was not bad but not to my satisfaction. In the first half, we wasted a lot of chances but I don’t blame them. They always want to score for us to take the lead and it is as a result why we keep wasting good scoring opportunities
With just three matches remaining in the season, Nations FC are in a tight title race and cannot afford to be wasteful in front of goal.
