Ampem Darkoa Ladies head coach, Stephen Sarkodie, is confident about his team’s chances in the Women’s Premier League final against Police Ladies on Sunday at the University of Ghana Stadium.

“We want to win this game, and the team we are playing against knows that we are going to win,” he said in his pre match briefing.

A victory would qualify Ampem Darkoa for the WAFU Zone B tournament, which would be a huge step in earning a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

The team’s ultimate goal is to reach the CAF Women’s Champions League, as stated by Stephen Sarkodie.

“By winning, we’ll qualify for the WAFU Zone B tournament, which will give us motivation, a morale boost, and also help promote women’s football in Ghana. We are planning to win that as well and secure qualification for the main tournament — the CAF Women’s Champions League. That’s our plan,” Coach Sarkodie added.

Ampem Darkoa finished the regular season on a strong note, securing the Northern Zone title with 37 points from 18 matches. Now, they need to overcome Police Ladies FC to claim the Premier League crown. With a clear plan and determination, Ampem Darkoa is poised to make a strong push for the title and continental qualification.
