Black Stars coach Otto Addo has paid a morale-boosting visit to Mohammed Salisu in France as the defender continues his recovery from a serious knee injury.
Salisu, who plays for AS Monaco, suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during a Ligue 1 match against Olympique Lyonnais, ruling him out for the rest of the season.
The injury also raises concerns about his availability for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Addo’s visit highlights his commitment to team building and solidarity, following similar visitations to other injured players like Kwasi Sibo, Ernest Nuamah, and Mohammed Kudus.
Salisu had been in top form for Monaco this term.
The Black Stars coach will need to reassess his options for the 2026 World Cup, with Salisu’s absence a significant blow to Ghana’s defense.
