Ghana head coach Otto Addo has visited centre-back Abdul Mumin in Spain as the defender continues his recovery from a thigh injury.
The 26-year-old, who plays for La Liga side Rayo Vallecano, has been sidelined since sustaining the injury during a 1-1 draw with Sevilla on 31 March.
He also missed Ghana’s recent World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Addo’s visit is part of the Black Stars’ ongoing preparations for this month’s four-nation tournament in London, where Ghana will face Trinidad & Tobago, Nigeria, and Jamaica on 28 May and 3 June.
Although Mumin has been ruled out of the friendlies, he shared encouraging updates on his progress during the meeting.
The national team’s technical staff remain hopeful the former Vitória Guimarães defender will be fit in time for September’s World Cup qualifying matches.
