Ghana coach Otto Addo has dropped Belgium-based attacker Joseph Paintsil from the Black Stars’ final 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ghana Sports Publications can confirm.
The 24-year-old has been in sensational form for Genk in the Belgian top-flight where he has bagged 6 goals and provided 5 assists in 13 games.
Paintsil, who is a former player of Tema Youth, was named in the 55-man provisional squad which was announced last Friday.
According to a source close to the Black Stars, head coach Addo has informed the player of his decision not to include him in his final squad.
