Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is bullish about Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, provided they maintain their current form.
Ghana put up a five star performance in the just concluded international break ended six matches winless run to defeat Chad 5-0 and Madagascar 3-0.
The win propelled to the summit of Group I with 15 points after playing six games in the qualification campaign
In an interview with Joy Sports, Addo opined that the performances from the have laid a solid foundation for the remaining matches.
“We have certain areas where we can always improve. We had a solid defence, and we also scored a lot of goals [vs. Chad and Madagascar].
“But in between, the connection has to be much stronger, because especially the second game against Mali would be very tough. If we continue like that, we will be successful, ” He concluded
The team will regroup in September 2025 for the continuation of the World Cup qualifiers.
