Ghanaian international Osman Bukari stole the spotlight with a dazzling display on Wednesday night as his Red Star Belgrade team faced off against Young Boys in a thrilling UEFA Champions League clash.
Bukari put on a man of the match display in a pulsating 2-2 draw at the Rajko Mitic Stadium.
He delivered a perfectly placed assist to Cherif Ndiaye, to put the home team ahead in the 35th minute. However, Young Boys displayed their resilience and determination, mounting a comeback.
Young Boys’ Filip Ugrinić and Cedric Itten found the back of the net in the 48th and 61st minutes, respectively, to give the visitors a 2-1 lead.
As Red Star Belgrade faced the prospect of defeat, they found their hero in Osman Bukari.
The forward unleashed a spectacular thunderbolt strike from an extremely tight angle, leaving the opposition goalkeeper with no chance.
His goal brought the match level at 2-2, rescuing a valuable point for his team.
Bukari has now scored in back to back Champions League games following his consolation goal in their opening group G defeat to Manchester City.
