Former Asante Kotoko CEO, Samuel Opoku Nti, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to defeat arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the upcoming Democracy Cup match.

The Porcupine Warriors will cross swords with the Phobians in an exercise organized by Parliamentarians to promote peace ahead of the December elections.

In an interview with Asempa FM, Opoku predicted a win for Asante Kotoko, citing the team’s recent recruitment of top-quality players.

“Asante Kotoko will definitely defeat Hearts of Oak on Wednesday. The club has been recruiting top-quality players this season,” he stated confidently.

“We are determined to achieve three successive wins over Hearts of Oak, a feat rarely accomplished in any season.

While Hearts of Oak holds a notable 4-0 record against Asante Kotoko, we aim to level that statistic,” he added.

The game is scheduled for July 17th, 2024.
