Nii Lante Vanderpuye positive Ghana will qualify for 2026 World Cup

Former Sports Minister Nii Lante Vanderpuye is positive Ghana will qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be staged in America, Canada and Mexico.

The outspoken Member of Parliament comments come following Ghana’s back to back wins in the recent qualifying series.

The Black Stars came from behind to defeat Mali 2-1 before a dramatic 4-3 triumph against CAR on Monday.

“So far, I am much more impressed. It is possible (making it to the World Cup). We can qualify for the World Cup,” Vanderpuye told JoySports.

The team occupies the second position in Group I with 9 points after four matches.

Ghana will resume their qualifiers next year, facing Chad and Madagascar in their upcoming matches.
