The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has moved to clarify concerns about the Super Eagles’ accommodation in Rabat after a social media post by midfielder Alex Iwobi sparked online debate.

Iwobi shared a video showing a rundown view from his hotel window, prompting questions about the team’s welfare ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifying play-off against Gabon.

In a statement, the NFF explained that the viral footage showed only the surrounding area and not the actual hotel where the team is lodged. The federation assured fans that the players are staying in facilities that meet professional standards and are fully equipped for match preparations.

The Super Eagles, who finished second in their CAF World Cup qualifying group behind South Africa, are currently in Morocco for the play-off clash with Gabon.

The NFF reiterated its commitment to providing the team with the best possible support as they chase qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
