The Parisian leaders would appreciate the profile of the winger, who is able to play in several positions. The native of Châtenay-Malabry could in particular relieve Lionel Messi or Neymar, on their sides. Especially since the two South Americans sometimes have difficulty stringing together matches.
Recruited by the Magpies for an amount of 18 million euros, in August 2019, Allan Saint-Maximin scored 5 goals and gave 4 assists in 33 appearances, this season, in all competitions. The international Espoir (7 selections) was trained in Saint-Etienne, which he left in 2015 to join Monaco, as part of a transfer of 5 million euros. He was then loaned successively to Hanover and Bastia, before being recruited by OGC Nice for 10 million euros, in 2017, then heading to England.
Allan Saint-Maximin had announced his great ambitions, after the takeover of Newcastle by the Saudis, last October. The player had shown his desire to play in the Champions League and to discover the France team, where Didier Deschamps has not yet called him.
