Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi has rejoined Beşiktaş in Istanbul after taking compassionate leave to attend his father’s burial in Nigeria.

Ndidi’s father, Sunday Ndidi, was laid to rest in Umunede, Delta State, and the midfielder has now resumed training with his club.

Beşiktaş is currently preparing for their upcoming Trendyol Super League match against Göztepe, and Ndidi’s return is expected to provide a boost to the team’s midfield.

The club’s coaching staff is looking to bolster their options, and Ndidi’s experience and stability will be valuable assets.

Ndidi had taken leave to attend the funeral and pay his respects to his late father. Beşiktaş had previously shown their support for the midfielder, displaying a tribute to his father on the stadium projector during a match against Konyaspor.
