Nana Adarkwa names Black Maidens squad for WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup

Black Maidens coach, Joe Nana Adarkwa, has named the final squad for the inaugural edition of the WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls Cup.

The tournament, to be staged at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence (GSCE), begins on Thursday, December 12, with Ghana drawn in Group A alongside Benin and Burkina Faso, who later pulled out.

Wrapping up preparations for the tournament, Coach Adarkwa has trimmed down his squad size, settling on a list of Twenty (20) players for the championship.

Rootz Sistaz midfield sensation, Christiana Ashiaku, headlines the squad following her heroics in the just-ended CAF schools championship in Niger, emerging as top scorer and best player in the tournament.

The team remains unbeaten in three friendly matches against Rootz Sistaz, FC Epiphany Warriors, and Sissamba Ladies as part of pre-tournament preparations.
