Swiss Super League giants, FC St.Gallen 1879 have announced a two-year contract extension for Ghana international Musah Nuhu.
The defender joined the club initially on loan from WAFA SC at the start of the 2018/19 season. His stay was then made permanent after a successful spell.
But the 25-year-old centre-back suffered an ACL injury while on international duty with Ghana preparing for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. That kept him out for 330 days.
Musah Nuhu is back to full fitness and made ten appearances for the St. Gallen first team last season (nine in the league and one in the Swiss Cup). So far he has played a total of 39 competitive games for the side.
“FC St.Gallen 1879 has extended Musah Nuhu’s contract by two years until the summer of 2024,” the club published in a double announcement.
Head of Sport, Alain Sutter also said: “We are pleased that Musah and Leonhard will continue to be part of our team. We know what we have in them. Both have already proven their qualities at the highest level.”
Musah Nuhu is currently on pre-season training preparing for the 2022/23 campaign.
