Footage of Jose Mourinho taking to the streets of Naples to pay tribute to footballing icon Diego Maradona has come to the fore on Sunday evening.
The clip in question comes with Mou and his AS Roma squad currently in the midst of preparations for a highly-anticipated Serie A showdown with Napoli on Monday night.
The Portuguese, though, on Easter Sunday, made use of some spare time to visit a mural featuring the aforementioned Maradona.
The ex-Argentine international of course boasts legendary status across the city of Naples, having delivered the Partenopei’s only two Scudetto titles in club history across a seven-year stint from 1984 to 1991.

In turn, ahead of Monday’s showdown at the aptly named Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Mourinho paid his respects to a one-time friend, laying down flowers at the site of the mural, before taking a moment to appreciate some of the remarkable artwork lining the walls.

European battle heating up
Turning attentions back towards tomorrow’s matchup, both Roma and Napoli are set to head into proceedings in Italy’s southwest desperate for all three points.
This comes with the former in the thick of the battle for a top-4 berth in Serie A, aware that a victory in Naples would guide them to within three points of Juventus in 4th.
Napoli, meanwhile, are vying to keep pace with AC Milan and Inter Milan amid a tense race for the Scudetto, currently sitting five points adrift of the table-topping former, albeit with a game in hand.
