Members of Ghana’s Black Stars Management Committee received $50,000 each during the team’s participation at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to Medeama Sporting Club president Moses Armah Parker.
Parker, who was part of the committee, disclosed the figure in an interview with Medeama FM. He said the payment amounted to half of the appearance fee received by each Black Stars player.
“Members of theBlack StarsManagement Committee received only half of the players’ appearance fee, meaning each of us received $50,000. There was no per diem or winning bonus for the committee,” Parker said.
The comments provide details of the financial arrangements for the officials who were appointed to support Ghana’s senior men’s national team during the tournament.
Parker served on the management committee established by the Ghana Football Association to oversee the administrative and logistical affairs of the Black Stars. The group was responsible for helping manage the team’s operations and matchday activities during the competition.
The committee was chaired by Randy Abbey, while former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah served as vice-chairman. Parker and Samuel Aboabire were given duties covering operations and matchday responsibilities.
The management team also contributed to Ghana’s preparations before the tournament. Its work included engagements with stakeholders in the period leading up to the squad’s departure for the World Cup.
Parker, who is president of Medeama Sporting Club, explained that committee members did not receive additional daily allowances or performance-related payments. His comments indicated that the $50,000 figure was the only payment made to each member under the arrangement he described.
Ghana’s campaign at the 2026 World Cup ended in the Round of 32. The Black Stars were beaten 1-0 by Colombia in Kansas City, bringing their participation in the competition to a close.
The defeat came after the team had travelled to the tournament with the management committee overseeing its administrative and logistical needs. The committee’s responsibilities covered the period of preparation as well as the team’s activities during the World Cup.
Parker’s disclosure follows his involvement in the group appointed by the Ghana Football Association to work alongside the national team. The confirmation of the payment amount comes from a member of the committee who was directly involved in the team’s management during the tournament.
The Black Stars’ loss to Colombia was their final result at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where Ghana finished its campaign in the Round of 32.
