Hearts of Oak legend Mohammed Polo is urging the club to dismiss current coach Aboubakar Ouattara due to the team’s disappointing start to the season.
Polo’s comments come after Hearts of Oak suffered a 1-0 defeat to Bibiani Gold Stars last week at the Legon Sports Stadium.
The Phobians have managed only two wins, three draws, and three losses in their eight matches, leaving them in 12th place in the league.
Speaking in an interview with Citi Sports, Polo expressed his belief that Ouattara is not the right person to lead the club and that his tactics are not benefiting the team’s performance.
“I think, you know, there is a problem in the technical direction and it’s all about Ghana in the technical direction.
“That is the talent we have here in the country. The coaches need to add some value, which is not there. Ouattara is not a coach. There is no additional value.
“That’s not the club’s standards, Ouattara is not the right man to lead the club and so I agree to fans calling for his sack.”
Hearts of Oak will face Medeama SC in their next match on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Tarkwa TNA Stadium.
