Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has hand picked his goal of the season for West Ham as his best ever for the London based club.
Speaking to the club’s media, Kudus revealed the strike, which went on to win the goal of the season at the Hammers end of year awards, is his best of five goals.
“Number one, it’s obvious, first goal against Freiburg. The one a lot of people know, the one I took it from our own box to go over to score in the opponents half”, he said
This was preceded by the former Ajax man choosing his overhead kick against Manchester City as his second preferred goal, his overhead kick against Brentford as third, debut premier league strike against Newcastle as fourth and his first of two goals against Freiburg as fifth.
Kudus, after helping the Black Stars to victory in June’s 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Mali and the Central African Republic, has returned for pre-season training with the Hammers in Austria.
The versatile forward played 46 minutes in West Ham’s 2-2 pre season draw against Ferencvaros, and will hope to surpass last season’s Premier League goal involvements (8 goals and 6 assists).
