Mohamed Salah will be officially unveiled as a Trabzonspor player on Thursday, 6 August, after completing his move to the Turkish Super Lig club.

Trabzonspor confirmed the planned presentation on its X account after Salah successfully completed his medical. The announcement came as the club prepared to formally introduce the Egypt captain following his arrival in Turkiye.

The 34-year-old travelled to Turkiye on Wednesday, 5 August, to complete the final stages of the transfer. He joins Trabzonspor as a free agent after leaving Liverpool at the end of the 2025-26 season.

Salah’s departure from Anfield brings an end to a highly successful spell with Liverpool, during which he established himself as one of the greatest players in the club’s history. He played a key role in a period that delivered two Premier League titles, two League Cups, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

He also won the Premier League Golden Boot four times while playing for Liverpool, further underlining his influence as one of the most prolific forwards in English football.

The move to Trabzonspor represents the next stage of Salah’s career after his time with Liverpool. The Turkish club confirmed that the player had passed his medical before announcing that he would be unveiled on Thursday.

Salah was also seen wearing a Trabzonspor shirt, signalling the completion of his switch to the club. The image included part of a statement released by Trabzonspor, although the source article does not provide the full wording of that statement.

His arrival follows a transfer completed without a fee after his Liverpool contract ended at the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign. The 34-year-old now begins his association with Trabzonspor, with the club’s official unveiling scheduled for 6 August.

For Liverpool, Salah leaves behind a record of major domestic and international success. His honours at Anfield include the Premier League, two League Cups, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup, while his four Premier League Golden Boot awards reflect his sustained goalscoring output.

Trabzonspor’s confirmation on X came shortly after the medical had been completed, providing the first official indication that the move had reached its final stage. Salah’s presentation on Thursday will formally mark his arrival as a Trabzonspor player.
