Mohamed Salah has completed his move to Trabzonspor after passing a medical and signing a two-year contract with the Turkish club, officially bringing an end to the transfer process and beginning a new chapter in the Egypt forward’s career.
The club confirmed the signing after publishing photographs from the contract ceremony, which was attended by Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan. The agreement makes Salah one of the most prominent additions in the club’s recent history and concludes one of the major deals of the current summer transfer window.
Salah arrived in Turkey to a remarkable reception, with thousands of supporters gathering at the airport to welcome the former Liverpool star. Large crowds then followed his journey to the medical centre, while celebrations and demonstrations of support continued throughout the day.
The scenes reflected Salah’s considerable popularity among Turkish football fans and the scale of interest in his arrival. The player also made a point of engaging with supporters during the reception, acknowledging the welcome he received as he completed the final stages of the transfer.

The financial terms of the deal include an annual salary of €17m. Salah will also receive 20% of the revenue generated from the sale of products carrying his name or image, a provision that underlines the commercial value he brings to the club as well as his footballing importance.
His arrival follows earlier negotiations with Besiktas during the current summer transfer window. Those discussions failed to produce an agreement because of differences over the financial details. Trabzonspor subsequently reached an understanding with Salah and secured the player in a deal regarded as one of the biggest moves of the transfer period.
