According to reports in Germany former AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has been retained by Hertha Berlin.
He was retained because of his leadership skills off the field and also as a reward for his output during the club’s playoff battle with Hamburg.
The 35-year-old midfielder was on the bench in the first leg defeat but he played in the final playoff game and was substituted in the 89th minute.
Coach Felix Magath who has left the club allowed the former Black Stars midfielder to pick the team that faced Hamburg in the final playoff.
Kevin-Prince Boateng played 18 games in the just ended 2021/22 Bundesliga. He didn’t feature often in the league because of injuries which prompted talks of a departure at the end of the season.
Boateng recently married his Italian model girlfriend Valentina Fradegrada.
