Midfielder Baba Gullit denies being transfer-listed by Liberty

By Patrick Akoto

Midfielder Baba Gullit has reacted angrily to reports he has been offloaded by Liberty Professionals.

The former New Edubiase enforcer was rumoured to have been put on the transfer-list as club Chairman Felix Ansong looks to lower the squad wage bill.

The reports claimed he had been shown the exit on disciplinary grounds but the box-box enforcer has denied the reports and insists he requested to terminate his contract.

“I have not be been put on the transfer market as reported by section of the media,” Gullit told Oman FM

“I am disappointed such report went out without finding out from me the thrust of the matter,”

“I saw it on the internet (GHANAsoccernet) and I was sad because that was not the case. I asked the club for a transfer request and not the other way round,”
