Middlesbrough wants Man United keeper on a loan deal

Middlesborough wants to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Tom Heaton on a loan deal in the summer.

The player returned to United last summer on a free transfer after leaving Aston Villa but finds himself as the third choice custodian in the team behind David de Gea and Dean Henderson .

There are reports that the Englishman feels he can still compete in the top level and according to The Sun, Boro manager Chris Wilder wants a new No1 and is keen to sign the 36-year-old on a season-long loan.

The report states that Wilder has been dreaming of a reunion with Henderson after they spent two successful seasons together at Sheffield United and the keeper is still thinking about the move with changes expected to happen in United’s goalkeeping department in the summer.

There is a feeling that Henderson might leave in search of more game time and United will be willing to listen to offers if their demands are met; the keeper was linked with a move to Newcastle United before.
